[Honest Review] "Dongfeng Tea Tapioca Black Tea Milk Tea" makes it easy to make your home tapioca--What is the chewy feeling of tapioca?

At the supermarket, I found "Dongfeng Tea Tapioca Black Tea Milk Tea" sold by Toa Sangyo. I was curious, so I actually bought it and made it. The purchase price is 401 yen (tax included).

This is a product that allows you to easily enjoy tapioca tea at home or in the office by dissolving dried tapioca and milk tea powder in hot water. Many types of tapioca do not return unless they are soaked in water for a long time or boiled, but the feature is that they are ready to eat in a few minutes after adding hot water.

The set includes a cup, a bag of dried black tapioca, a bag of black tea milk tea powder, and a special straw.

Easy to make. Add all the dried black tapioca and milk tea powder to the cup. If it is hot, pour hot water (85 ° C (185 ° F) to 90 ° C (194 ° F)) into the hot water position, stir with a straw, and wait about 5 minutes for the tapioca to soften. Stir well again and cover with a lid to complete.

To make an iced drink, pour hot water to the cold water position, wait about 5 minutes for the tapioca to soften, add ice at the end, and mix well to complete.

This time I tried hot. When you suck it up, the scent of black tea spreads softly. The taste is slightly bitter at first, followed by moist sweetness. I didn't mind, but my tastes may differ because of the bitterness.

The tapioca that I'm curious about is ... Although it's large and has a satisfying taste, it has a texture that is closer to gummy candies than "mochimochi". It is a firmer and harder bite than I had imagined.

I thought that 5 minutes was not enough for soaking, so I waited for a while, but the texture did not change. According to a friend of the author who drank the same product, "If you boil only tapioca in a small pot before making it, it will be more chewy and delicious." Considering the time and effort, I feel that it is the same as using ordinary dried tapioca, but if you have time, may you try it?
