Yanaka "Cafe Nekoemon
Cafe Nekoemon is located about a 10-minute walk from Nippori Station on the JR Yamanote Line. It is a hands-on cafe where you can paint beckoning cats. It was opened as a sister store of "Maneki Neko Yanaka-do".
Maneki Neko Painting
We ordered the popular "Maneki Neko Painting". This set allows you to experience painting a beckoning cat while enjoying a drink and tea sweets. The price is 1,620 yen for the small size and 2,160 yen for the large size.
A colorful pen, a plain maneki neko (beckoning cat), a drink, and tea snacks were brought to the table. You can use the colored pens to color in the beckoning cat. If you are having trouble deciding on a design, you can refer to the samples made by the staff. I drew this one while looking at a photo of my cat that I had in my smartphone.
