Fairycake Fair Chinese Zodiac Dog New Year Cupcakes

Fairycake Fair, a cupcake and scone store, will start selling two kinds of New Year cupcakes featuring the Chinese zodiac sign of the year 2018, "Inu", on December 26, and will be available until January 31, 2018.

The lineup includes the dog cupcakes "Milky-chan" and "Mocha-chan". Both are fresh cupcakes (western-style confectionery). Each is priced at 460 yen (tax included).

Milky-chan, with her adorable chocolate tongue sticking out, is a cake with strawberry jam combined with rich white chocolate cream. The refreshing strawberry flavor of these cupcakes will make you feel the spring season a little earlier.

Mocha, on the other hand, is a hazelnut-flavored cake with melted caramel sauce. It is finished with bittersweet coffee cream. It is said to have a rich bitter sweetness.

Also, a limited New Year's baked product, "Baked New Year's," will be available from December 26 to January 14, 2018. These pudding-flavored cupcakes feature an egg-flavored cake with caramel underneath. It comes in a box and is priced at 1,500 yen (tax included).
