Oh, it's so good! The surface is crispy and the inside is soft, more like a doughnut than a cake! The slightly glazed part is crunchy and light, and when it melts in your mouth, the juicy sweetness spreads. The soft and fluffy dough inside has a hint of egg as you bite into it. It goes really well with black coffee.


The taste certainly made me feel nostalgic. I thought I have had this taste somewhere before ......, but it resembles Yamazaki's rose-net cookies...! I looked carefully at the back of the package and found that the manufacturer was Yamazaki. It makes sense!

I used to eat one rose-net cookie when I was young, but now a whole one is a bit heavy on my stomach.... I was hesitant to buy them even if I wanted to eat them, but with the "square egg cakes," I am very happy because they are palm-sized, so each piece is light, and they come in a pack of 4, so I can share them whenever I want!


By the way, when I heated them up in the microwave (500W) for about 30 seconds, they became crispy and fluffy like freshly baked ones, and the egg flavor was enhanced, so I highly recommend eating them!
