No.13cafe Coffee

Jelly The 24th item in our series on coffee jelly is the coffee jelly served at No.13cafe.

No.13cafe is located about a 10-minute walk from the East Exit of JR Shinjuku Station. It is a restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, tucked away in a corner on the fourth floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Health Plaza Hygeia.

It opened in June 2016 with the idea of providing a place for coffee and relaxation. It offers a sweets menu and set menus, and has been featured on gourmet TV programs.

When I went there for the popular " Full Cream Soda " menu item, I discovered "Coffee Jelly" on the menu list! I had to try it! So I ordered it.

: Coffee jelly topped with ice cream and Oreo cookies. I have had 22 coffee jellies so far, but this is the first one with Oreo cookie topping.



The jelly is finished with a clean bitter taste of coffee. It has a nice pull together texture and has a nostalgic feel like the coffee jelly you make at home.



The ice cream also has a refreshing taste and goes well with the coffee jelly. I think the sweetness is stronger when eaten together. The Oreo cookie absorbs water, so if you want to enjoy the crunchiness, it is recommended to eat it first! If you like Oreos that have absorbed milk, you may want to save them.
