Chocolate Castella

Last year, Bunmeido sold "Warmed Castella" to make home time more enjoyable during the cold winter months. The product has been developed through a series of trials so that the freshly made taste can be enjoyed even when warmed up. Following the first "Milk Tea Sponge Cake", the second "Chocolate Sponge Cake" is now available.

The new product has been devised so that the taste and texture can be enjoyed both as is and when warmed. By adding buttermilk powder, the original flavor and fluffy texture of the sponge cake is preserved, while the richness of chocolate can be felt even as it is, creating a mellow taste.


Cut into five slices, the sponge cake can be eaten immediately after opening. Just heat one slice in a microwave oven (500W) for about 10 seconds, and the freshly made fluffy texture and chocolate aroma will stand out even more.
