Did you know that the popular snack food "Umaibo" sold by Yaokin has a "premium" product? We actually tried two types of "Premium Umaibo" that we found at the supermarket. 10 sticks per bag, priced at 216 yen (tax included).

The two types we purchased were Premium Umaibo Mozzarella & Camembert Cheese Flavor and Premium Umaibo Mentaiko Flavor. In addition, there is also a "Premium Umaibo Japanese Steak Flavor.

The texture is light and crispy, and the cheese flavor is junky in a good way. The first thing I remembered when I ate it was the famous "Ka-X" with the uncle character! It seems similar to that cheese flavor. I'm addicted to the richness and saltiness~!

Premium Umaibo Mentaiko Flavor is a premium umaibo that offers the superb taste of mentaiko (spicy cod roe). The red package is a landmark.


The flavor is not too spicy, but has a slight umami and sweetness after the saltiness. The strong flavor makes it a perfect snack! The key point is that it leaves a fluffy aroma after swallowing.

Premium Umaibo" is a stick that will make you feel a little bit premium. It is also a good idea to compare them with regular Umaibo.
