Calbee "Haru Potato Amami Umami Salt Flavor

From Calbee's "Seasonal Thick Slice Series," which offers seasonal delicacies throughout the year, "Spring Potato Amami Umami Salt Flavor" and "Spring Potato Fluffy Sour Cream Flavor" will go on sale. The sales period is scheduled to start on February 28 and end in early June. The estimated price is around 155 yen each (tax included).

Spring Potatoes

Haru Potato is a thick-sliced potato chip that uses Hokkaido potatoes harvested in the fall and carefully stored to provide a slightly gentle flavor and light, bouncy texture to match the mood of spring. It features a deep V-cut "crispy blooming cut" that was arrived at in pursuit of a spring-like flavor.

This year's Spring Potato, the seventh year of the series, features an improved version of the Ama Umami Salt flavor. For a gentler taste, maple sugar has been added to give it a natural sweetness. The sour cream flavor has been renamed to "soft sour cream flavor" (last year's flavor was "mild sour cream flavor") to match the image of the flavor, while keeping the contents the same.

The packaging features a playful design of a field of flowers with a spring-like feel that connects the two flavors when placed side by side.
