FamilyMart "Tare Chiki (with Tartar Sauce)

I tried FamilyMart's limited-quantity hot snack " Tare Chiki (with Tartar Sauce ). You can enjoy the batter that mixes two textures, crispy and moist, and the umami chicken.


The price is 220 yen per piece (tax included). The entire surface of the batter is marinated in sweet and sour sauce, and the inside is filled with tartar sauce, making it a chicken nanban-style dish.



You can order it at the hot snack corner in front of the counter and receive it in the usual Famichiki yellow paper bag. When I got home and opened it up, I found that the sauce had soaked into the batter and the texture was a mixture of crispy and moist. When I inserted the knife, I found juicy chicken inside. When you press lightly, you can see that the tartar filling is stuck inside.


When you take a bite, you can feel the complex umami of the various flavors that are layered on top of each other. The tartar was not overpowering, and it still had the characteristic of Famichiki. I have the impression that it would be good as a snack, a side dish with rice, or a snack with alcohol.
