7-ELEVEN "Strawberry Babka

I tried the "Strawberry Babka" from 7-ELEVEN. It is a sweet bread with an elegant strawberry flavor.


Priced at 159 yen (including tax) and 367 calories, the Danish dough is filled with sweet and sour strawberries and chocolate cream with a hint of cheese, then baked.


Like the strawberry whipped coronet I had before, this is a "strawberry fair" item. Both are made of Danish dough, but the Babka has less cream than the Coronet, giving it a more bread-like impression.


The vermilion powder on the outside is pretty, and when you insert the knife, you can see the red strawberry color on the inside. When you bite into it, the outside dough is soft and smooth, and the inside smells sweet and sour. The cream is rich and has more presence than it looks.


The coronet was also quite filling, but the babka seemed to be even more generous, making it more suitable for a light snack rather than a cup of tea. The cut surface is beautiful, so it would be fun to cut it into appropriate sizes and share it with several people. If you're looking for a drink to go with it, straight black tea is recommended.
