Asahi Bialy, a "low-alcohol" beer-tasting beverage

Asahi Beer "Slightly Alcoholic" Beer Taste "Asahi Biery

Asahi Breweries has introduced "Asahi Beer Ally," a "low-alcohol" beer-taste beverage that will go on sale nationwide on June 29, starting with pre-sales in the Tokyo metropolitan area and nine prefectures in the Kan-Shinetsu area on March 30.

Asahi Beerly is a beer-tasting beverage with an alcohol content of 0.5% that delivers the umami and full-bodied flavor of barley, which can only be achieved with 100% beer-derived ingredients. It is a new category of carbonated beverage with a "slight alcohol content" recommended for those who want to enjoy alcohol at their own pace.

After brewing aromatic and rich beer in the preparation process, the alcohol is removed in the de-alcoholization process. The distillation technology carefully removes only the alcohol content while retaining the "complex fermentation-derived aroma components" characteristic of beer, resulting in an authentic beer-like flavor.

In the brewing process, the sugar content in the extract is adjusted using proprietary technology cultivated in the production of beer, and the flavor structure and richness are secured. In the de-alcoholization process, alcohol is separated from the beer by our unique low-temperature distillation process without sacrificing the aroma derived from the beer. After about 100 test production runs over a three-and-a-half year development period, a "slight alcohol content" of 0.5% was achieved, which allows the beer to have the umami and full-bodied flavor of barley that is typical of beer.

The 350ml (11.83us fl oz) can is priced at 181 yen (excluding tax). The first release area is Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Yamanashi, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Niigata, and Nagano prefectures.
