Stores selling dairy products and sweets in Hokkaido are carrying excess inventory due to cancelled events and a decrease in visitors. As a countermeasure, the Sapporo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and others are promoting mail-order sales. Honnen, known for its " Tsukisamu Anpan," has also created a special mail order set of 20 pieces of "Tsukisamu Anpan (Koshi Anpan) Super Special Price! Honma is a long-established company founded in 1906 in Tsukisap (now Tsukisamu), Sapporo. Its signature product since the beginning, Tsukisamu Anpan, is made with red beans from Tokachi in Hokkaido and wrapped in a thin crust.


Anpan is often seen outside of Hokkaido at Hokkaido product exhibitions in department stores, but due to a string of event cancellations over the past few months, there is stock that cannot be shipped.
