Once opened, potato chips, biscuits, and other snacks are difficult to store. You are worried about moisture, and sometimes you end up eating the whole bag because it's too good to eat....

We found an "Easy Sealer," an item that may be useful in such situations, at the 100-yen uniform store Daiso! I actually tried it out to see how well it would work.

Daiso's "Easy Sealer" is an item that uses the power of heat to weld bags together. Two AA alkaline batteries are required for use (batteries sold separately). Remove the cover, set the batteries, and you are ready to go.



To try it out, we challenged ourselves with a bag of potato chips. Tilt the green safety cover toward you, and then insert the bag between the Easy Sealer and the bag. Once you have the end of the bag, hold it between the sealer and the bag for 3 seconds.


Slide the bag slowly and gently, keeping it lightly pinched... and just as you trace it, it sticks to the bag due to heat! It will not come off even if you pull both sides.



However, depending on the amount of force and the time of pinching, the bag may melt and cut into pieces. Also, thicker parts may not stick properly. The materials that can be welded are aluminum evaporated bags, polypropylene, polyethylene, and vinyl chloride, with a thickness of up to 0.1 mm.


It may be a little difficult until you get the hang of it, but once you learn the right amount of force, you can easily weld it. Therefore, it is ideal for home use. It may be useful to have one in your kitchen.


Daiso "Easy Sealer" can be welded tightly with the power of heat. It is also useful for preventing moisture in seasonings and foodstuffs, but it is not a "perfect" sealer, so be sure to use it as soon as possible.
