Condensed milk" (condensed milk) is delicious when poured over strawberries this time of year. Tubes of condensed milk are convenient, but there are probably people who use condensed milk several times and leave the rest in the refrigerator (I do). (I am one of them.)
Here is a recipe to make the most of leftover condensed milk. This is the "Mellow Condensed Milk Egg Sandwich" introduced by Snow Brand! I highly recommend it because it is so delicious!
Ingredients:
3 boiled eggs1 tablespoon condensed milk
1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Salt to taste
4 slices of bread (8 slices)
Butter or margarine to taste
Adapted from Snow Brand recipe. The recipe is based on a recipe from Snow Brand.
Mix boiled egg with condensed milk, mayonnaise and salt.
Spread butter or margarine on a piece of bread and sandwich the egg filling in between. Cut in half and you are done!
If you have it, wrap it in wax paper for a stylish look! In that case, cut the whole paper with a knife.
◆How does it taste?
Try it...It's delicious! The creamy condensed milk envelops the plump and fluffy egg, giving it a rich and deep flavor. The soft sweetness of the milk is balanced out by the salt and mayonnaise. The sourness of the mayonnaise is softened by the condensed milk, and the overall taste is mellowed.
This time, we combined condensed milk and mayonnaise at a ratio of 1:1.5, but you can adjust the ratio to your liking!
