NITORI "Cuttable Butter Case
Even if you buy whole butter, it is a hassle to cut it each time you use it. This is where NITORI's "Cuttable Butter Case" comes in handy. The editorial department purchased it for 999 yen (tax included).Easily cuts butter into equal portions
NITORI's "Cuttable Butter Case" is a convenient case that allows butter to be cut into pieces and stored as is. A wire is attached to the inner lid, and when the butter is placed on the wire and the outer lid is pressed down, the butter is cut evenly, about 5 grams for 200 grams of butter and about 3.7 grams for 150 grams of butter.I tried cutting butter with NITORI's "Cuttable Butter Case.
Place a whole piece of butter (200g (7.05oz)) on the wire. The butter should be centered according to the markers.Place the lid on top and press down firmly. Butter fresh from the refrigerator is a little hard, so it may be easier to leave it at room temperature for a little while.
When I pushed it all the way to the end, butter cut into about 5 grams each fell out of the case! This is effortless! The trick, by the way, is to apply pressure evenly all over with both hands and press straight down.
Depending on the balance of force, only the two ends of the butter may remain stuck to the wire. If this happens, just press down hard on the top of the lid, and only the remaining butter will be cut off and fall down safely.
When I pricked a piece of cut butter with a fork, it flaked off and came off. The cross section was also cut in a snap. I weighed it with a scale to be sure, and it weighed almost 5 grams. This way, I don't have to cut and measure the butter every time I cook, I can follow the recipe exactly!
If you think it's a hassle to cut butter every time you use it and wash that knife... I think having one of these knives will come in handy!
