New works "Chestnut Azuki" and "Sakura An" in Haagen-Dazs "Hanamochi"
The long-awaited new work for that "Hanamochi"!

The long-awaited new work from Haagen-Dazs "Hanamochi" has arrived. Two kinds of "Chestnut Azuki" and "Sakura An" will be on sale for a limited time from February 27th. The estimated price is 324 yen (tax included).

The Hanamochi series is an ice cream dessert that weaves a luxurious harmony of rich and smooth ice cream and soft "mochi". When it first appeared in 2015, it became a hot topic as it sold too much and was temporarily suspended.

This new work, Chestnut Azuki, is a flavorful azuki bean ice cream with brown sugar added as a secret ingredient, combined with chestnut sauce, and topped with soft mochi. The mochi is finished with red bean paste mixed with plenty of chestnut grains. It seems that you can enjoy the authentic Japanese taste played by the fluffy and glossy grained bean paste.

On the other hand, the sakura bean paste is made by mixing the gorgeous scented sakura ice cream with the salty sakura bean paste and adding a soft mochi. A light pink cherry sauce is sprinkled on the mochi to give it a gorgeous appearance. The perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness makes you feel spring as early as possible.
