KIPPY'S COCO-CREAM (Kippies Coco Cream, hereinafter "Kippies"). An ice cream shop that does not use dairy products or sugar, was born in California, USA. Furthermore, neither soybeans nor gluten are pear. It is said that it is popular with Hollywood celebrities who have a strong health consciousness as "cold raw food".

Such a noteworthy shop landed in Japan in October. It opened in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and it seems that it has become a hot topic so that there are lines every day. I went to the restaurant and tried the rumored ice cream.

■ Kippy's is such a shop

The nearest station is Kitasando Station on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line, but you can walk from Harajuku Station in about 10 minutes. When you enter the all-glass shop, you will find a cold pressed juice shop on the entrance side. And the back is Kippy's. The showcase is lined with ice cream served like gelato! Everything looks delicious.

Kippy's ice cream is based on organic coconut water and coconut milk, and is sweetened with "raw honey" that has not been heat-treated. Instead of honey, dates (dates, dried fruits are sweet and sticky like dried persimmons) are also added.

In addition to this, about 10 kinds of things such as those mixed with fruits and those mixed with chocolate are always handmade every morning. It seems that up to 4 kinds of daily flavors will be prepared. The price starts from 480 yen for the S cup (2 scoops).

■ It's completely different from the ice cream so far!

When I was wondering what to do, a spoon was gently presented in front of me. It will let you sample before ordering .

Immediately, I picked up the classic and most popular "coconut honey". Oh, the scent of coconut is rich! However, the sweetness is not persistent, and the aftertaste is refreshing despite the richness. It's not strange coconut, and it's much easier to eat than I had imagined. No, it's delicious ...!

The next coconut honey-based "Strawberry" I ate had a strong acidity. In addition, "chocolate chips" mixed with cacao nibs have a unique cacao scent that makes them look different from honey and strawberry. The dark chocolate ice cream had a strong cacao scent that you wouldn't even notice that the base was coconut.

In addition, the dated flavor, which can be eaten by vegans, had a milder sweetness than honey. Among them, my favorite is "Coffee Dates". It tastes "the coffee" with a slight bitterness, but it does not contain caffeine because it contains roasted powder of the mysterious fruit "Ramon" that tastes like coffee instead of coffee. That's right.

■ Toppings are full of "superfoods"

You can also order additional toppings (starting at +100 yen). A diverse lineup that includes the much-talked-about "superfoods".

Suddenly I noticed a mysterious object that looked like a rolled yellow powder. This is called "Bee Pollen" and is said to be "pollen dumplings" collected by bees. It's not as powdery as I expected, and I feel that it has a faint floral scent.

The original sauce "salt caramel sauce" made from raw honey is thick and rich. "Magic Shell Sauce," which is a mixture of cacao, coconut oil, and honey, is also popular.

In addition, golden berries, goji berries (goji berries), nuts, etc. are available. The indecisive writer who couldn't choose because there were too many. I asked the clerk to choose the one that suits the ice cream.

Finally, I ordered the toppings "Magic Shell Sauce" and "Goji Berry" for the ice cream "Strawberry" and "Cinnamon", and the bill was 680 yen. For the author who made a slightly changing combination of strawberry and cinnamon, he handed me the sauce only for strawberry. Thank you!

The sauce chilled by ice cream is crispy. The aroma and sweetness are not too strong, so the acidity of the strawberry is alive. And what a good cinnamon! It has a strong spice and goes well with the coconut flavor of the base. Oh yeah, the goji berries were crispy and seemed to be different from the dried fruit on top of almond tofu.
