I can't wait for the opening! NY-born "Shake Shack"

◆ "High quality" burger that can be eaten like fast food

"Shake Shack" was born in New York, USA. It is a popular shop with a continuous line of people, boasting tremendous support mainly from young people. In November 2015, we will make the long-awaited landing in Japan.

Uri is "high quality". For example, the beef used in hamburger patties and hot dog sausages is "100% natural" Angus beef grown without the addition of hormones or antibiotics. Basically, it is one of our commitments to bake it to medium. French fries potatoes are made from Yukon Gold potato potatoes (originating in Canada and major in the United States) without any artificial additives. In addition, ice cream (frozen custard) uses milk procured from dairy farmers who grow it "naturally", and we are very particular about the raw materials. This commitment to quality seems to be a factor that makes fans all over the world, including New Yorkers.

◆ Every store has a long line!

The author visited the MADISON SQUARE PARK store in NY. This is also the "starting place" where the store first launched a hot dog cart. About 60 people lined up at the store in the corner of the park.

By the way, the Theater District stores near Times Square are lined up during the day and at midnight. The Upper West Side store was also full, even though it wasn't core time. At John F. Kennedy Airport, there are people looking for hamburgers early in the morning. It seems that "very popular in NY" was true.

◆ Menu & I tried it

The signboard menu is Shack Burger. In addition, there are a total of 5 types of hamburgers, such as SmokeShack with smoked bacon. There was also a lineup of hot dogs, side menu french fries, shakes and ice cream, and drinks. I simply ordered a shack burger single, french fries and beer. The accounting was $ 14.85.

The shack burger is a size that is easy to hold with one hand, and it is very simple, just by combining cheese, sliced tomatoes, lettuce and sauce with buns. The colorful vegetables are firm and fresh. The buns, which have a slight sweetness, have a soft and gentle mouthfeel. The taste of the meat that exudes from the patty soaks into it, and the richness and sauce of the cheese create a wonderful harmony. There is no dislike, and it seems to be popular in Japan. Also, the crispy and crispy potatoes had a “proper potato taste”. It goes great with beer. I don't feel the greasiness of leaning, probably because the quality of the oil is good. All of them were convinced that there was a line.

Shake Shack has left the United States and opened stores in the Middle East, United Kingdom and Turkey. There are more than 70 stores in total (as of October 2015). Japan will soon join the ranks. Will it take root in Japan as a new hamburger chain?
