Godiva is a chocolate brand that originated in Belgium. It landed in Japan in 1972 and currently has more than 250 stores in Japan. As a high-class chocolate, it is also popular as a gift item such as Valentine's Day.


Chocolatier is a chocolate drink made from Godiva's chocolate, which is sold at some stores. Available in a variety of styles, frozen, iced and hot.

This time, we will introduce the classic "Dark Chocolate Decadence" (590 yen including tax) and the limited-time "White Chocolate Raspberry & Rose" (600 yen including tax) (both are frozen types).

Dark chocolate decadence is a dark chocolate flavored frozen drink. It is finished with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.


Cool and cold drinks are rich in chocolate. If you use chocolate bar, it has a moderate thickness of about 50% cacao, and you don't feel much bitterness. With finely crushed chocolate, you can enjoy a crispy texture.

The whipped cream of the topping gradually melts as you continue to drink, giving it a creamy and mild taste. Combined with the sweet chocolate sauce, it changes to a richer taste.


Even though it's frozen, it doesn't contain enough ice to make it crispy. On rare occasions, I feel that the fine ice touches my tongue and melts. It doesn't melt and the taste doesn't fade, so I'm glad that you can enjoy it slowly.

On the other hand, White Chocolate Raspberry & Rose is a flavor limited to Godiva's 90th anniversary. A white chocolate flavored frozen drink topped with dried raspberries and sprinkled with bright pink raspberries and rose sauce.


While you can feel the milky and strong sweetness that is typical of white chocolate, it has a crisp and elegant taste. The sweet and sour raspberry and rose sauce go great together.

In addition to crushed white chocolate, this one contains raspberry chips that slowly exude sourness. You can enjoy more changes in texture and taste.


Both have a small capacity of 270 ml, but you can enjoy the luxurious taste of chocolate that is typical of Godiva. It's a price that's easier to reach than boxed chocolate, so it's a good idea when you want a little extravagance.
