When I hear that it took ~years to develop the product, I think of the blood-curdling efforts of the producers. It is a product that has been carefully selected, and one can only imagine how wonderful it must be.

Kikkoman's "Del Monte Tomato of the Sky" took 20 years to develop. 20 years, 20 years! I wasn't born 20 years ago! (I wasn't born 20 years ago! (I'm sorry, I'm just being dramatic. Don't throw stones at me!) ) The product that is the subject of this extraordinary enthusiasm is tomato juice. It is made from "INCA RED," a tomato variety developed by Del Monte.

20 years in development! Tomato juice "Del Monte Tomato of the Sky" was launched at Sky Tree for a limited time!

In 1992, Del Monte participated in the "Tomato Wild Seed Genetic Resource Analysis Project" led by an American tomato researcher. In the project, a small, blue, wild tomato, the size of the tip of a pinky finger, was discovered near Machu Picchu, and after 20 years and 50 generations of breeding, not through genetic modification but through crossbreeding, the tomato used for this juice, INCA RED Inca Red tomatoes are used for this juice.

Incidentally, usually, breeding is done once a year (one generation), but Inca Red has been bred all over the world, making it possible to breed 50 times (50 generations) in 20 years. Ummm, it must be amazing, but my humanities brain can't understand it....

This product is made from Inca Red, which is derived from tomatoes discovered near Machu Picchu, the aerial city of Machu Picchu, and will be sold exclusively at Tokyo Skytree, the world's tallest tower. It will only be available at the Skytree's official stores, cafes, and restaurants. Super rare!

Since it will be on sale for a limited time and in limited quantities, please come to Skytree as soon as possible if you wish to purchase it! Although it is only available for a limited time, it looks like a good souvenir.
