A special exhibition "Rice Exhibition" is being held at the museum "21_21 DESIGN SIGHT" in Roppongi, Tokyo. It focuses on the appearance of rice fields, the culture of rice cultivation, and the art of using rice, other than rice as a “food”.

The directors of the project are Taku Sato, a graphic designer who previously worked on "Design Ah!" At the museum, and Shinichi Takemura, a cultural anthropologist. It was planned to be an opportunity to think about the "future of rice" and "potential of rice" in the midst of changes in the environment surrounding rice, such as lifestyle changes and TPP problems.

There are many hands-on exhibits where you can participate, and you can also take pictures. After watching it, you will surely want to eat rice.

The session is until June 15th. The museum is open from 11:00 to 20:00 (only on April 19th, until 24:00 to coincide with the "Roppongi Art Night "), and the final admission is 30 minutes before closing. Admission is 1,000 yen for general students, 800 yen for college students, 500 yen for junior high and high school students, and free for elementary school students and younger.
