Starbucks will open a new store "Kyoto Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya Store" in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City on June 30th, where you can enjoy coffee between tatami mats.
A new store using a traditional Japanese house (two stories) that is over 100 years old. It is located in Niningzaka, which leads to Kiyomizu Temple, a World Heritage Site.
Uses a two-story Japanese house
Noren, tatami mats, traditional garden space, espresso bar counter, etc. are installed in the storefront and inside. It expresses the fusion of Kyoto culture and Starbucks coffee culture.
