Kanmon Uniman to be Permanently Sold in Tsukiji -- How about some freshly steamed sea urchin to accompany your stroll?

Kanmon Uniman" and "Kanmon Uniman-Kiwami", both popular at product fairs, will be on permanent sale at Maruichi Hamada Shoten in the Tsukiji Outside Market from December 7.

The Kanmon Uniman (300 yen) has a black skin with bamboo charcoal and is wrapped in a hanpen-like red bean paste with sea urchin, fish meat, yams, and other ingredients. It is a creative menu item created at the Mojiko (Kitakyushu, Fukuoka) izakaya "Kaimon," and has been sold mainly at " Mojiko Retro" in Kitakyushu City, by mail order, and at product fairs held at department stores around Japan since its launch in 2011. Maruichi Hamada Shoten will be the first sales outlet outside of Kitakyushu City, where customers can enjoy "freshly steamed" sea urchins.

The Kanmon Uniman-Kyoku- (840 yen) is a luxurious white cream with rice flour, rice oil, and soy milk, and is filled with sea urchin paste and steamed sea urchin. The product is sold from 9:00 to 14:00.
