LAWSON's "Dense Canulé" has a savory outside and a rich and juicy inside! Slightly scented rum

LAWSON Dense Cannulé Actual Tasting

I actually purchased and tried the "Dense Cannulé" sold by LAWSON. The price is 160 yen per piece (tax included).

Each bag contains one canele, which is a crispy, chewy

canele

with a soft rum flavor. Cannelles are a traditional French confectionery.

Dense Canulé

The outside of the canele has a firm finish and is so firm that it does not crumble when pressed a little. When cut with a knife, the cross section is very beautiful!

The outside has a slightly savory finish, and although it is not crispy, it is moderately chewy. Compared to ordinary canelees, it may be a little moist.

The inside is sticky and chewy. It's so chewy! The contrast between the texture of the outside and the inside is unique. The sweetness is well balanced and accented with a hint of rum.

At 160 yen per piece, the quality is quite good considering that they are readily available at convenience stores. It is a slightly luxurious item to be enjoyed with tea, coffee, or hot milk. Why not pick one up when you see one?
