As the product name suggests, rice balls are collaborated with Nissin Foods' Donbei and Chicken Ramen. I tried to compare it with the original cup noodles to see how much the taste was reproduced!
● Eat and compare Donbei
Donbei-style rice balls are rice balls made from Donbei's bonito broth mixed with fried chopped fish paste, onigiri, and kamaboko. Pink kamaboko is already peeking through the rice.

When I bite ... oh ...! Certainly this is the taste of Donbei! Although the taste is rather modest, the umami sweet soup and the flavor of the dashi stock are reproduced considerably. The seven flavors of the accent are also studded, and it's nice. I think it would be like this if you put rice in the soup left by Donbei and eat it.
● Eat and compare chicken ramen
On the other hand, chicken ramen-style rice balls are rice balls with egg soboro and green onions added to chicken-flavored rice mixed with real chicken ramen. Chicken ramen is like a bester ramen that you can see through the rice grains.
When I try it ... Yeah, it's delicious! It's fragrant, savory and salty, and tastes like chicken ramen soup. But if you dare to say it strictly, is the fragrance a little weak? Although the aroma of roasted soy sauce, which is peculiar to chicken ramen, is a little lacking, the umami of soy sauce and the sweetness of mellow eggs are reproduced properly.

Both were highly reproducible and tasted good, but I personally recommend the Donbei-style rice balls! I felt the sweet and delicious taste of Donbei. Donbei fans should definitely try it! The price is 120 yen (tax included).
