Yubari Mel

on Yubari City is surrounded by mountains and has volcanic ash soil with a large difference in temperature and good drainage, making it the perfect environment for producing sweet melons. The Yubari Melon was created by the Yubari City Agricultural Cooperative Association, which has played a central role in the creation of a delicious and distinctive melon as a new resource for Yubari City, which once prospered as a coal-mining town. The Yubari melon's quality is maintained through strict quality control and the skill of the growers.
