It has been 25 years since the first 109 Cinemas store, 109 Cinemas Kohoku, opened. The first collaboration of the classic caramel popcorn is with Morinaga Milk Caramel, a popular product of Morinaga Seika. The packaging material is also a reproduction of the "Morinaga Milk Caramel" package.

This product started with the idea that "if the caramel popcorn at movie theaters was 'Morinaga Milk Caramel Flavor', it would taste even better. When we asked the marketing manager of Morinaga Seika, he replied, "Actually, we used to sell caramel popcorn in the past. We would be happy if we could reproduce it in movie theaters. After repeated tests at 109 Cinemas in the presence of both companies' representatives, we were able to recreate a taste closest to that of Morinaga Milk Caramel out of several patterns. The package also uses the well-known Morinaga Milk Caramel logo and brand colors.
