Sparkling Japanese Sake "Hakutsuru Maru Highball

Hakutsuru Sake Brewery will release a dry and refreshing sparkling sake, Hakutsuru Maru Highball, on February 26, 2012, for a limited time only until August.

The "Maru with carbonated water" (highball) has been recommended since 1984, when Maru was first released. It comes in a small, re-cappable bottle with a casual design that combines the red image of "Maru" with a carbonated and cool feeling. It was developed with the aim of creating a flavor that can be enjoyed not only by regular Maru drinkers but also by people who do not drink much sake.

It has been developed with the aim of making it enjoyable not only for regular drinkers but also for those who do not drink much sake. It can be enjoyed on its own, poured into a glass with ice, or garnished with lemon or lime. It can also be enjoyed in a 1:1 cocktail with grapefruit juice or cola. As a pairing, it goes well with dishes that have a strong umami flavor or are rich in fat.
