"Cafe Trois Bagues" is a 1-minute walk from Exit A5 of Jimbocho Station. I asked a friend that the "gratin toast" offered here was so delicious that I couldn't forget it once I ate it, and I actually went there.


The store is in the basement. Don't miss the white sign on the street, as it's in a place where you'll pass by if you're not careful.



When I went down the narrow stairs and opened the stylish door, I found a classical and elegant space. The writer went to just lunch time, but the inside of the store was vacant and quieter than expected.


I sat down at the counter and ordered a set of "gratin toast" and coffee (1,100 yen including tax). Bread sandwiched between ham and Gouda cheese is baked with plenty of handmade white sauce.


When you lift it, white sauce and cheese will spill out. The crispy bread is entwined with a thick sauce, and the rich flavor spreads throughout your mouth.




Garnish salad is a combination of vegetables, tuna, pasta and spices. It refreshes the mouth thickened with gratin toast.


The coffee in the set is a blend. It has a mellow taste and a light acidity that remains on the tongue at the end. It is recommended to add milk because it makes the taste even more mellow and makes it easy to drink.
