The event "Gekikara Gourmet Festival 2014 ", which brings together carefully selected spicy gourmet foods representing countries around the world, will be held at the special venue in Kabukicho, Shinjuku (Okubo Park) from September 9th to 24th. Entrance is free of charge.


The "Gekikara Gourmet Festival" was held for the first time in 2013, and is an event where famous stores of "Gekikara Gourmet" gather, with about 66,000 visitors in 11 days. Indian food, Korean food, Thai food, Chinese food, curry rice, and other "spicy and spicy" dishes that represent the world are offered.

In 2014, a total of 17 stores opened, more than last year. It is possible to adjust the spiciness at all stores. Payment at each store is a meal ticket system and varies depending on the menu size (600 yen to 1,200 yen).

◆ Mokotanmen Nakamoto "Chilled Spicy Solar Men"

A dish in which thin noodles with a pleasant throat are entwined with a chili sauce carefully selected by "Nakamoto". Colorful ingredients are luxuriously topped. The price is 800 yen.


◆ Mexican food FONDA DE LA MADRUGADA "Sopa de la Madrugos"

Stewed seafood soup using chili peppers from Mexico, the country of origin of chili peppers. The price starts from 1,000 yen for S size.


◆ Thai food Soul Food Bangkok "Spicy Tom Yum Noodle"

"Super spicy chilled Tom Yum noodles", which was popular last year, is re-appearing as warm noodles. The price is 800 yen.


◆ Indian food Soul Food India "Spicy chicken and vegetable curry (rice)"

A menu that combines tandoori chicken with plenty of spicy sauce and "super spicy curry". "Secret toppings" for "spicy enthusiasts" are also available. The price is 800 yen.


The event will be divided into two parts, "FIRST ROUND" from September 9th to 15th and "SECOND ROUND" from September 17th to 24th.

The venue is located at 2-43 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. The time is from 11:30 to 21:00. The store will be closed on September 16th due to store replacement.
