I don't particularly like pandas and bears, but I'm interested in "healing". I wanted pandas to heal the loneliness peculiar to autumn ... so I went to Panda Coffee!


■ Arrive at "Panda Coffee"

"Panda Coffee" is about a 5-minute walk from the south exit of JR Asagaya Station. The landmark is the signboard. Many pandas will welcome you.


The signboard is full of pandas. The shop's website says, "There are many people who pass by without noticing because the entrance is sober," but that is not the case at all! If you use this sign as a landmark, you will not get lost.

When you go up to the 2nd floor where the shop is located and open the door ... it's a panda wonderland! Interior and furniture appliances based on black and white. Pandas on the walls, pandas on the shelves, pandas for curtains, calendars, toothpicks. There are even rare things that surprise you, "What a panda !?"




■ I ordered

After enjoying the pandas in the store for a while, I saw the menu. I wanted to be surrounded by as many pandas as possible, so I ordered "Panda cookie with ice cream" and "Panda cocoa" in addition to the most popular "Panda omelet rice".

After waiting for 8 minutes while watching the panda miscellaneous goods in the store, the food was finally delivered.


The table top is full of pandas! Not only cooking, but also ice flags and sugar sticks are thoroughly called pandas, and a total of 12 pandas are gathered on the table!

■ I tried it

I ate panda omelet rice. Eggs with an airy texture melt when you put them in your mouth with the flavor of butter. Ketchup rice with eringi, bacon, peppers, etc. is full of ingredients and is enough to eat. The identity of the panda on the top was a rich white sauce. Roughly scoop up from the panda part to the rice below and eat it, the fluffy egg and ketchup price are entwined with rich white sauce, giving it a rich taste. I'm sorry I ate it, panda. But it's delicious ... and I love you ...


The fragrant Panda cookie is crispy and has a light taste. The attached vanilla ice cream was not too sweet and melted in the mouth, making it perfect for dessert after a meal. It goes well with coffee.


Panda cocoa is rich and creamy. A panda's face is drawn with cocoa powder on a fine and fluffy milk foam. It's cute ... I can't drink it! (I drink it!)


There are a total of 10 types of panda patterns drawn on cocoa and latte. Then I want to see another panda! So, I ordered an additional panda latte.

The reason for choosing the name "Panda Coffee Shop" is that the manager's wife loved pandas, and that "pandas" are familiar to everyone from children to adults.

The store manager, who loved frogs, also said that he became more attached to the store while he was surrounded by pandas, and now he likes pandas more than frogs.


When I suddenly looked at the panda lovers store manager, the wedding ring with the panda design turned into a ring finger ...! It's wonderful that pandas connect the love of a couple. The store manager's love for his wife and pandas is overflowing.


■ "Original goods" that can only be bought here

This ring is not sold at the store, but you can buy original goods from Panda Coffee! There are many "rare items" that can only be obtained here, such as key chains, pin badges, washcloths, cookies, and pandas.


I used to sell it online, but now it's closed. Because so the prospect of the resumption is not standing still, anyone who wants right now is looks good better that visited the shop.

■ Tourists from overseas. The aim is a weekday afternoon

This shop is said to have been published in overseas town magazines without the store manager's knowledge. Not only tourists from all over Japan, but also many from Taiwan and South Korea come to pandas. By the way, the author went around 15:00 on weekdays, and the number of customers was 2-3, with a female rate of 90%.
