Funawa "Imo Dorayaki" - sweet potato yokan paste sandwiched between moist dorayaki crusts!

Funawa announced on its official website that "Imo Dorayaki" will be available as a limited-time-only sweet treat from October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023. The selling price is 270 yen (tax included, same below).

Funawa sweet potato dorayaki


A seasonal menu of Funawa, which is also known for "Imoyokan" and "Anko Dama". The standard sweet potato yokan is used as an ingredient.

Funawa's imo-yokan was invented in 1902 as an easy way to enjoy yokan instead of yokan paste, which was expensive at the time of its establishment, and has been a long-seller for more than 100 years. The sweet potato dorayaki is made into a paste and sandwiched between moist dorayaki crusts. The expiration date is 5 days from the date of manufacture. The following stores carry the dorayaki
