Ministop will sequentially release a new "Mitarashi Dango", a summer sweet "Halo-Halo" arranged with shaved ice, from May 5. The nationwide release will be on May 12. The price is 290 yen (tax included).

This is the second "Japanese flavor" following the popular "Halo-Halo Kuromitsu Kinako". The ice is topped with Mitarashi syrup, Mitarashi dumplings and soft-serve ice cream vanilla, and topped with arare and kizami nori (dried seaweed).

It looks Japanese.

The Mitarashi syrup is made with soy sauce made from whole soybeans. The Mitarashi dumplings are also made with Hidaka kelp extract, which concentrates the umami flavor.

The rich melting soft-serve ice cream and the sweet mitarashi are exquisitely blended together. The savory taste of the arare and nori (seaweed) also adds a nice accent.

Another feature is that one can enjoy a variety of textures. Chewy dumplings, crunchy arare, smooth soft-serve ice cream, thick and dense mitarashi syrup, and shakigori (shaved ice with a cool sensation).

Various textures and Japanese flavors

In any case, the combination of vanilla soft serve and mitarashi is so delicious that it is recommended to eat them together, leaving the soft serve ice cream until the end. While you are eating, you will want something to drink, so be sure to try the Japanese tea. Houjicha" goes especially well with it.
