Oyakodon" is a bowl of rice topped with burdock and carrot kinpira on top of rice. If you are satisfied with this dish, you may be a Dragon Ball fan.

This "oyakodon" is too maniacal...!
This "oyakodon" is too maniacal...!

The other day, @daracchimax posted a "oyakodon" on Twitter.

He posted a photo with the comment, "My son put kinpira on top of rice for dinner and called it 'oyakodon' and I didn't know what he was talking about for a while." The photo posted with the comment "I didn't know what he was talking about for a while.

The comment was followed by "...... I don't get it... Burdak (burdock) and kakarot (carrot)... And with the rice, it's three generations of father and son...". I hope you get the idea. This is a story related to the characters of Dragon Ball (original story by Akira Toriyama).

Many of the names of Goku and other Saiyans are derived from vegetables. Goku's real name, Kakarot, is carrot. Goku's father, Burdak, was named after a burdock (burdock), so the parent (burdock) and child (carrot) make "Oyako" (father and son). Furthermore, Goku's son is Gohan (gohan), so there are three generations of "father and son.

Incidentally, Goku's mother is Guinée (who made a splash one year ago when she finally appeared in the series after 30 years of serialization!) ), Gohan's daughter (Goku's grandson) is Pan, so...no, let's not say everything.

Even if you know the names of the characters, it is not easy to find people who know their origins. And I am ashamed to say that I did not know that burdock = burdock. Well done, son! I wonder if 10 cushions are not enough...
