Fruit beer "Pineapple Ale" using golden pine will be released from Sankt Gallen on April 23. The sale period is limited to the summer until the end of September.


"Pineapple Ale" is a summer-only fruit beer that uses hand-cut golden pine. By fermenting wort (bakuju: unfermented beer) with fruits, the foam is finished with a slightly sweet pineapple flavor. No concentrated juice or fragrance, alcohol content is 4.8%.

Golden pine is cultivated at a plantation managed by Del Monte and hand-cut at a factory in Yokohama. About 600 kg is used for each preparation of "pineapple ale" (6,000 small bottles).


Each bottle contains 330 ml, and the price is 429 yen (excluding tax). It will be sold at the company's online shop, Yokohama Sogo, Yokohama Takashimaya, etc.
