This year, in addition to "Spring Oysters", a rare brand oyster "Green Oyster (Shioda Aged Oysters)" will appear, and you can enjoy a more powerful lineup of oysters and steaks than last year. Immediately, I participated in the preview held prior to the opening.
When you enter the venue, first select what you want to eat in the showcase. Oysters, seafood, meat, snacks, etc. are lined up in a narrow space. Let's buy sake here as well. After completing the checkout, the staff will guide you to the table seats.
There are 268 seats in total, centering on a table for 4 people, there is also a table that can seat 24 people, and a counter seat that can accommodate even "one person". Each seat has a plate that introduces how to grill oysters and meat, so please refer to it when grilling. There are two types of stoves, gas type and electric grill. If you enjoy the atmosphere, gas is better, and if you want safety and speed (which burns faster than gas), is electricity better?
One point to note here. Long sleeves are a must, as oyster shells and juice may fly. It is recommended to wear clothes that can get dirty or smell.
Now, let's just introduce the menu provided.
■ First experience of "Green Oyster"!
Three types of main oysters are available. The baskets are full of "Hiroshima shelled spring oysters (1 kg)" (1,600 yen), "Hiroshima special shelled spring oysters (2 pieces)" (1,000 yen), and "Green Oysters" (1 piece 400 yen).
Green Oyster is the finest brand oyster, also known as a phantom in France. The one offered this time is the first in Japan to be cultivated in the same aquaculture environment and method as in France. By eating phytoplankton peculiar to salt farms, it is said that the body turns green from January to April every year. The body is small, but the sweetness is impressive. The wine goes very well.
■ Thick scallops are recommended
Other than oysters, "king crab (shoulder legs)" (2,980 yen), "live scallops (2 pieces)" (1,200 yen), "3 kinds of seafood (live scallops, salmon fillet, squid)" ( You can enjoy (1,300 yen). Gorgeous roasted crabs are good, but I definitely want you to eat thick scallops that are likely to be 2 cm or more.
■ Meat is also gorgeous!
A meat menu that even people who are not good at seafood can enjoy. In addition to the "3 kinds of meat (hamburger, bacon, sausage)" (1,300 yen) that was offered last year, the new "soft! Beef fillet steak" (1,000 yen) and "self-rossini-style steak" ( 1,800 yen) has appeared.
Rossini-style steak is a set of beef fillet steak and foie gras. The meat and foie gras are baked separately, served on a plate, and eaten with sauce. The meat is very tender, but on the other hand it is thick and satisfying to eat. Thanks to the sourness of the sauce and foie gras, it is a dish that does not match the atmosphere of the place but has a French feel.
By the way, the beef fillet steak comes with a Japanese-style sauce with grated sauce. It looks similar and confusing, but if you want to eat Rossini-style steak, make sure you have foie gras in the set.
■ Snacks and cooked menus
"Hiroshima Spring Oyster Ahijo" (600 yen) and "Plenty of Snow Crab Ahijo" (800 yen) are perfect for resting chopsticks and drinking alcohol. In addition, there are also dishes that can be eaten without baking, such as fried oysters, fried oysters, oyster rice, and oyster cream soup.
Ajillo was a very popular menu last year, and snow crab was added this year. In addition to baguettes, mini breads (2 pieces) and penne to put in as a squeeze after enjoying the bread are also available. Penne is boiled and can be eaten immediately, but it may be more delicious with a little spice such as pepper or a gang. (You shouldn't get angry if you bring in seasonings ...)
■ Also pay attention to dessert
Speaking of Hiroshima, Hiroshima Toyo Carp. So, "Carp gelato (milk flavor)" is a must-try menu. In addition, "Gelato Setoda Lemon / Caramel", "Annin Tofu", "Mango Pudding", and "Kudamono Village Handmade Apple Pie" are available.
Apple pie is a popular menu at pie specialty stores in Hokkaido. I thought it would be heavy as a dessert after a meal, but the crispy pie had a light taste and had a simple taste, so I ate it unexpectedly.
■ What kind of alcohol do you care about?
If you have good food, you will be interested in the alcohol menu. You can enjoy beer, chu-hi, bottled wine, and sake, but what's interesting is chu-hi? You can enjoy a slightly different lineup of "Setoda Lemon," "Yellow Fruit Tomato," and "Mango."
As for sake, Hiroshima Prefecture's "Suishin," "One Drop of Soul (Junmai Ginjo)," and "Sake that goes well with oysters (Junmai)" are available. All are small drinkable sizes. In particular, sake that goes well with oysters seems to have been developed to go well with oysters like wine. It's a dry yet clean mouth that is firm and sharp, so even beginners of sake may be relatively easy to drink.
By the way, soft drinks can be purchased at the vending machines in the venue. If you would like to refill your drink or food, please ask at the dedicated counter provided separately. Some menus can also be taken out.
■ You can make a reservation this year
Last year, he couldn't make a reservation , and he had to wait 90 minutes at the earliest and 5 hours at the longest during busy times such as weekends. This year, it is possible to make online reservations only for "Kakifes members". Telephone reservation is not possible.
Admission is free, but a barbecue fee (200 yen, free for preschoolers) is required. The holding time is from 10:00 to 21:00 (11:00 on weekdays). Let's go there many times and enjoy delicious oysters!
