So, if I became the secretary, I definitely want to hold a year-end party here! I would like to introduce an edgy shop that I think is selfish. It is "Pakuchi Bar GOLDEN BURNING " which has a shop in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo!
Coriander Bar is a restaurant specializing in coriander dishes , as you can read. I would like to highlight Pakuchi, who used to be a "supporting character", and let more people know its charm! With that in mind, it opened on November 29th this year.
Coriander is used in all food menus based on Thai and Vietnamese food, so I'm not so happy with it!
In addition to white-based tables and chairs, exotic plants and miscellaneous goods are placed here and there, creating a simple yet exotic atmosphere. Even though I'm in the middle of Shibuya, it seems that I've come to a country in Southeast Asia!
By the way, from among the many coriander menus, this time the shop's recommended "Pakuchi rice (stir-fried pork coriander rice)" (880 yen) "Plenty of coriander tom yam kun noodles" (980 yen) "Steamed coriander shellfish" (980 yen) I would like to report.
By the way, if you are not good at coriander, you can also order "without coriander", so don't worry.
● "Pakuchi Mojito" for aperitif
I want to get used to the coriander before the food comes. For such people, we recommend "Pakuchi Mojito" (750 yen) as an aperitif.
Coriander mojito is said to be the liquor that triggered the store to become a coriander restaurant. Since the coriander mojito was well received by many customers, it was said that the number of coriander dishes was increased at once.
When the temperature is low, the aroma seems to be suppressed, and there is almost no peculiar aroma of coriander from a cold cocktail, and you can feel a faint herb-like freshness. It is slightly sweet because it contains sugar, and the lime gives it a crisp aftertaste.
It's a very easy-to-drink cocktail, so even beginners of coriander will surely be okay with this!
● "Pakuchi rice (stir-fried pork coriander rice)" that you want to eat every day
A hearty dish with plenty of rag-shaped pork on top of rice and plenty of coriander. Put the egg yolk on it, break it into pieces and mix the whole.
The seasoning is spicy, but if you prefer spiciness, add the spices that come with it to adjust the spiciness to your liking.
● Ethnic full throttle! "Tom Yum Kung Noodles with plenty of coriander"
A combination of rice noodles (rice noodles) with Tom Yum Kung soup, which has a deep richness, spicy spiciness, and a slight sweetness. In addition to popping sweet cherry tomatoes and crispy shrimp, it is topped with plenty of coriander, crispy bean sprouts, and chili peppers, and the rich taste of the soup is refreshingly summarized.
Not only the leaves but also the stems of coriander are used abundantly, and every time you eat it, a fresh scent fills your mouth. It is a luxurious dish.
● I can't stop drinking! "Steamed mussels with coriander"
"Steamed mussels with coriander" is a dish that makes alcohol go too far. We often see steamed mussels with wine, but steamed coriander is quite rare!
The scent of coriander further enhances the umami that is tightly packed in the mussels. The soup, which is deliciously exuded from mussels and coriander, makes you want to drink it up! It seems that this soup alone will make a glass of white rice.
● Dessert is refreshing with "Pakuchi Ice"
Once you've fully enjoyed the coriander dishes, refresh with cilantro ice cream. Finely chopped coriander is kneaded into a slightly sweet and rich coconut-based ice cream. Of course, this is also a homemade original menu.
The crispy texture of coriander is an accent, but the scent is slightly weaker. The unique presence of coriander is like a mint that holds your breath and refreshes your mouth. It's refreshing without any habit, and it's perfect for ending your dinner!
By the way, all the cilantro used in the shop is domestically produced coriander. Coriander is quite expensive to get at a supermarket, but it is said that the menu can be offered at such a reasonable price because it has become possible to stably purchase from domestic contract farmers every day.
People who like coriander, as well as those who haven't come to the point of its charm, may change their view of coriander once they taste the food at the coriander bar!
The store location of Pakuchi Bar is Koara House 1F, 2-26-16 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Business hours are from 12:00 to 15:00 for lunch and from 18:00 to 23:30 for dinner. Both lunch and dinner can be reserved.
