Of course, one of the pleasures of festivals is " festival meal "! So, this time, I checked out the festival meals sold at the summer festival "SWEET LOVE SHOWER 2014" (hereinafter referred to as "Rabsha") hosted by Space Shower TV, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year!

◆ Collaboration with that artist! Special Kitchen " Limited Festival Rice "
I picked up the menu I was interested in from "Special Kitchen", which sells menus in collaboration with the regular program of Space Shower TV!

"KANA-BOON 3 piece assortment" 8 pieces 600 yen

Takoyaki "3 piece prime" is a menu devised by KANA-BOON, a rock band from Sakai, Osaka, whose momentum has not stopped since its major debut in 2013. There are three types of takoyaki: standard takoyaki, takoyaki with tuna mayo, and takoyaki with corn inside.

Especially the takoyaki with corn is excellent! It has corn grains inside and is characterized by its gentle sweetness like cream croquette. The powder on the outside is the taste of corn potage soup. It's a sweet and sour new sensation.

"It's a delicious layer of Galigali Galixon" 500 yen

A recommended menu of Galigali Galixon, the VJ of Space Shower TV. It's a sprite with a whole soda-flavored Gari-gari . In addition to grain ramune, the bottom contains cut fruits such as pineapple and papaya, and it is as lively as a fruit punch!

When you drink Gari-gari while dissolving it in sprite, it pops with carbonic acid in your mouth and refreshes your dry throat. Gari-gari is delicious even if you drink it!

◆ Popular festivals with a continuous line at each event
At various summer festivals and food events, I've always eaten the "that menu" that I'm curious about! Of course they lined up!
Mochimochi Potato Room 323 "Mochimochi Potato" 600 yen

"Mochimochi potatoes" sold at various festivals and events. There was a long line in front of the food stalls on this day as well.

Line up for about 15 minutes and finally get it! It has a fluffy and airy texture when you bite it, and it has a chewy texture when you chew it. It's more like a donut or pretzel dough than a potato. One is quite long and has a large amount, so it is a dish that everyone wants to share and eat.

Little Juice Bar "Strawberry Kezuri" 500 yen

Summer sweets "Ichigo Kezuri" with plenty of whipped cream squeezed into "ice strawberries" that are made by shaving frozen strawberries. This is also seen at various festival venues, but there are always lines.

The sweet and sour taste of strawberries and the mellow sweetness of cream go perfectly together! The contrast between the crispy and fresh strawberries, the fluffy whipped cream like cotton candy, and the fluffy texture of strawberries is also nice. This is worth eating side by side !

◆ “Local” menu that you want to eat
If you go to festivals held in various places, the "local" menu that can only be eaten there is a must. Since Rabsha is held on the shores of Lake Yamanaka, this time I picked up a local menu named after "Mt. Fuji".
Rice shop rice rice "Mt. Fuji bowl" 800 yen

A local menu with a lot of Mt. Fuji as a motif. On top of the rice, sweet and spicy teriyaki pork is placed and topped with plenty of grated tororo. Sunny lettuce is spread at the foot of the mountain.

The big pork is tender and voluminous. The sweet and spicy sauce is appetizing. The smooth and smooth throat is comfortable, and the best match with the refreshing grated! Even on a hot day when your stomach isn't feeling well, you'll be able to eat it.

Red Fuji Shoten Association "Salt-grilled chars grown in the spring water of Mt. Fuji" 500 yen

Iwana, a rock fish raised in underground water on Mt. Fuji, grilled with Bincho charcoal. The body is fluffy and tender, and the exquisite saltiness enhances the taste of the rock fish.

Eating under a clear sky or white clouds doubles the deliciousness! I have eaten all at once. This is a dish that goes great with beer.

◆ Rock and nature are the secrets
The real thrill of festival meals is that you can eat them in the music and the magnificent nature. Listen to your favorite music while soaking in a sense of openness, eat delicious food, and listen to your favorite music again.

If you listen to the same music, dance, eat the same food, and feel the changing seasons in the same place, while watching the same scenery, everyone at this venue will feel like a long-time companion. It's strange. This coziness is unique to summer festivals, isn't it?
By the way, on this day, the clouds that had spread in the sky until the morning were completely sunny at noon, probably because of the overwhelming performance of the performing artists, and the area around Lake Yamanaka became a blue sky that penetrated. For a moment, I was able to see the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. The power of music that overturns the weather forecast is amazing!

The three-day Rabsha ended with great excitement. A summer festival where you can see, listen, eat, and enjoy with all five senses. I am looking forward to holding it as early as next year.
