At Cardy Coffee Farm, I found the first drink "Yosoi Horchata". It came in a 1L paper carton and the price was 398 yen (excluding tax). I was curious, so give it a try!
What is Horchata?
Horchata is a drink made by adding water, sugar, etc. to the juice of "Tiger nuts", which is said to be a superfood. It's a summer staple in Spain, especially in the Valencia region.Tiger nuts are not nuts but plant roots. Is it similar to scallions or root ginger? That's why the abundant vitamin E is called a superfood.
I drank Horchata
When poured into a glass, it is a slightly brownish milky white. The mouthfeel is mellow like milk. The unique fragrant flavor matches the firm sweetness, creating a rich and rich taste. It's not a nut, but it has a nutty flavor as the name suggests.
At first, I feel that I have a little habit, but the more I drink it, the more addictive it becomes. Such parts may resemble soy milk.
It's really sweet, so it's recommended to cool it down. You can drink it as it is, add it to coffee, divide it with milk, or freeze it to make sorbet. It seems that you can enjoy it in various ways!
