When I was taking a walk around the downtown area of Suitengumae, I found a nice cafe, so I would like to introduce it. A shop called "Cafe au lait". It is about a 5-minute walk from Suitengumae Station.

The popular menu at this shop, pancakes, is very delicious! It's not a rich buttery or creamy pancake, but a nostalgic plump pancake that looks like a hot cake. If you like simple pancakes, please try them!

◆ Refreshing fluffy pancakes

Before pancakes ..., the atmosphere inside the store is something you should definitely experience! From interiors such as tables and chairs to tableware, wall decorations, and music playing, I feel particular about it. Still, the staff is very friendly. Even alone, you can feel very relaxed.

By the way, the pancakes at the store are slowly baked using a copper plate griddle. "Lemon pancakes" (920 yen, tax not included, same below) are two plump and thick pancakes with homemade lemon cream, honey and whipped cream. You can squeeze the lemon if you like.


The dough has a crisp texture and is soft and chewy when chewed. It is slightly sweet and tastes like a nostalgic hot cake. It's fluffy and gentle, and you'll be healed involuntarily ... Perfect for the image of this shop!



It's a thick pancake, and it's two-tiered, but it's fluffy and light, so it's quick and easy. It's nice to be able to add flavor to a simple pancake with your favorite balance!

You can squeeze the lemon to tighten the taste with sourness, dye it with sweet and sour lemon cream, or entwin it with the melting "honey lemon". I especially liked lemon cream. This is really delicious. I want you to sell lemon pie using this cream.


By the way, it may take some time to make pancakes because the dough is mixed and baked after the order is placed. I was served in about 10 minutes at a less crowded time.

Cafe au lait is also particular about coffee. It is said that high-quality raw beans are roasted in-house little by little, and freshly roasted, freshly ground, and freshly brewed aromatic coffee is offered.

In addition to Indonesian and Brazilian coffee, there is also a limited quantity of "Today's Coffee" (580 yen), which features coffee from various origins. Colombia's "Magdalena SUP" was offered on that day. It has a good balance of bitterness and acidity, and goes well with pancakes!


Another drink I would like to recommend is my favorite "banana milk" (630 yen)! You can enjoy the taste of mashed bananas, which are thick and thick. Ripe sweetness spreads in your mouth, and tropical happiness!
