Komeda's shaved ice, the new 2017 work is "Peach Tea Ice" (the photo is topped with soft serve ice cream and condensed milk)

From the summer specialty menu "Kakigori" at Komeda Coffee, the new 2017 "Peach Tea Ice" (650 yen including tax) is now available. It is on sale for a limited time until late September (or mid-September). A dessert made by sprinkling plenty of peach syrup on fluffy shaved ice and adding plenty of tea jelly.

When I tried eating the En-eating editorial department, I was impressed by the fluffy ice melting in the mouth and the sweetness of the peaches, which was richer than I had imagined ...! Not to mention Komeda fans, I want you to try it once!

◆ Fluffy and superb mouthfeel

Komeda's shaved ice is said to be made by melting the surface of large block ice (Kakigori) a little and then shaving it. This will create a soft and light shaved ice.

Is the ice flavored? Plenty of syrup!

When you put it in your mouth, it melts softly and the sweetness of the peach syrup that contains plenty spreads juicy. Fresh! The melting of the ice is so ephemeral that it makes me worried, " Did you really eat it now?" That's why, even if it looks like a lot of volume, it's a good dish.

◆ "Authentic feeling" of black tea jelly

Black tea jelly that was developed for this menu. It has an elegant and refreshing taste, like a little sugar dissolved in freshly brewed black tea. The slight bitterness of the tea leaves is also good because it has a "real feeling"!

Puru Puru tea jelly

It crumbles just by gently touching your teeth with the mouthfeel of Purunpurun. When eaten with ice with plenty of peach syrup, it tastes like fruity "peach tea"!

◆ Recommended soft serve ice cream!

One of the attractions of Komeda's shaved ice is that you can add your favorite toppings. It is recommended to add soft serve ice cream (110 yen) and condensed milk (70 yen) to this peach tea ice.

When you spread the rich soft serve ice cream and black tea jelly together, it tastes like "Royal milk tea". Also, if you eat black tea jelly, soft serve ice cream, and peach shaved ice at the same time, you can enjoy a richer "peach milk tea" taste.

Peach tea ice is recommended for eating, but the shaved ice series also has a lineup of flavors such as coffee milk, mandarin oranges, and matcha. Of course, you can customize it with your favorite toppings. You may want to visit the store again and again this summer!
