Here are some of the new sweets from convenience stores released this week (April 3-7, 2017) that the editorial department actually ate and were particularly delicious!
● Lawson "Premium Chocolat Eclair" (295 yen, tax included, same below)
Eclairs with rich, bitter chocolate cream in a moist choux pastry. Topped with ganache, chocolate plate and grain chocolate. All chocolates are bitter, so it's recommended for bitter chocolate lovers!
It makes me happy that the chocolate cream is tightly packed up to the edge of the dough.
The choux pastry melts and disappears immediately after a crispy and fragrant texture. The chocolate cream and ganache are chubby and rich, staying on the tongue for a while and slowly melting to give off the flavor of cacao. Crispy chocolate plates and crispy chocolate chips also add an accent to the texture.

● Lawson "Noto Dainagon and Matcha Cheese Tart" (195 yen)
A cheese tart with plenty of matcha cream combined with Azuki Noto Dainagon. The taste of matcha is rich, but it is an excellent sweet that you can feel the richness of cheese properly.
Matcha cream is a combination of homemade mascarpone from Hanabatake Farm and matcha powder from Riichi Tsuji Main Store.
The elegant sweetness of azuki beans and the bitter and deep taste of matcha cream of whipped bean play a harmony of Japanese. There is plenty of azuki beans inside, and you can enjoy the mellow texture of rolling on your tongue and the chewy texture when chewed.

● FamilyMart "Tart de Frozen Sweets Tiramisu" (198 yen)
Frozen dessert from Hanabatake Farm, which was released at the same time as Catalana (Crème Brulee). Catalana was also delicious, but personally I was fascinated by this.
Tiramisu made with Hokkaido cream and homemade mascarpone cheese is made into a tart.
Cheese cream is fluffy and melts in your mouth, and has the best balance of sweetness and acidity. The tart dough has a bitter taste and enhances the richness of cheese. The faintly fragrant fruit liquor has an adult taste!
● 7-ELEVEN "Mochitoro Coffee Milk" (120 yen)
Coffee milk flavor from 7-ELEVEN's popular series "Mochitoro". It is finished by putting crushed coffee jelly in mochi dough and wrapping it with milk whipped cream.
You can enjoy the texture of the chewy skin, the fluffy whipped cream, and the coffee jelly that dances on your tongue. The subtle bitterness and aroma of coffee tightens the taste of sweet milk and is well-balanced.
The moment you bite into it, including the mouthfeel of the powder sprinkled on the surface, it's a Japanese sweet (Daifuku), but the gap between the contents is Western-style sweets is another attraction of this product.

Many areas are celebrating the best time to see the cherry blossoms. How about a convenience store that you can easily buy, a snack for cherry blossom viewing?
