I found a sprinkle "Peyang Yakisoba Flavor Sprinkle" that reproduces the taste of the popular cup yakisoba "Peyoung" at Daiso (100 yen shop) in Tokyo. I was curious, so I bought it.
Ingredients are bread crumbs, sesame seeds, pickled ginger, chicken soboro, sea lettuce, etc. Yakisoba noodles are not included.
Sprinkle on other rice and take a bite. After a crispy texture, the sweet and mellow taste of Peyang Yakisoba sauce spreads. With the rich flavor of sesame and sea lettuce, it's just Peyang! The taste of red pickled ginger may be a little stronger.
Bread crumbs might have been inspired by the taste of noodles, but I felt that they were more like cabbage in Peyang as an accent to the crispy texture.
In addition, due to the characteristics of the sprinkle with a concentrated taste, the taste that you can feel with your tongue is stronger than that of the original Payang. It may be closer to Payang if you mix it with rice and let it blend in.
I can't help but want the taste of Peyang, but I'm not hungry enough to eat one ... It's convenient at such times. Check it out if you like Peyang!
