At the Kyoto villa of the chocolate brand "Bel Amer", the chocolate selection "Mizuho no Shizuku" is on sale. A jelly made from carefully selected Japanese ingredients poured into a chocolate that looks like a Masu. Chocolat that glitters like a jewel is said to be finished in the atelier every day.
There are three types of Mizuho's drop lineup. "Kyoto Sake ", which is made from sake rice "Iwai" cultivated in Kyoto, is an assortment of sake chocolates from Kyoto's representative sake breweries, "Domestic tea ", which is a combination of tea collected from all over Japan and chocolate, and domestically produced. "Domestic fruit " made by pouring fruit jelly into chocolate. Each has 5 flavors.
This time, I bought a set of 5 types of "Kyoto sake" (1,512 yen). However, probably because I was a little late (visited around 3:00 pm), Shoutoku Shuzo's "Hanaraku" and Yamamoto's "Sacred" were unfortunately sold out. Instead, we selected "Hojicha" from Kyoto Prefecture from the domestic tea series and "Mango" from Okinawa Prefecture from the domestic fruit series and had them assorted.
Please see, this beauty. It ’s a jewel , right? I want to decorate it without eating it for a while.
Now that you've enjoyed the look, let's finally enjoy the taste.
"Tsuru" is a chocolate that gives you a strong sense of the taste of sake jelly. The bitterness of the crisp bitter chocolate enhances the mellow sweetness and richness of sake.
"Tsuki no Katsura" is a well-balanced mariage with the faint acidity of sake jelly and the melting sweetness of white chocolate.
"Hojicha" is a perfect match between the aroma of the bittersweet Hojicha jelly and the moderately sweet milk chocolate.
"Mango" is a sweet and sour mango jelly and white chocolate with a milky feel, and you can enjoy the taste like a fruit parfait.
"Celebration" is the rich cacao flavor of bitter chocolate. I feel tipsy with the afterglow of sake coming out of my nose.
The price of one grain is 260 yen (tax included). You can buy it at the official online shop as well as at the Kyoto Villa. It looks good in return for White Day!
