Like the Shingen mochi, the package is dark purple. The package is tied tightly like a furoshiki wrapping cloth. The size is just a little larger than the palm of your hand.
Opening the package reveals a pudding in a square container and a bottle of kuromitsu, a familiar ingredient in Shingenmochi rice cakes. A plastic spoon is also included.
Pouring the molasses over the pudding, it is time to eat.
The pudding, made with fresh whipped cream, is smooth and meltingly smooth. The creamy texture on the tongue spreads the savory flavor of kinako (soybean flour).
The unique deep sweetness and richness of the molasses gives the pudding a rich, rich flavor. Each bite is more satisfying than the last. On the other hand, the flavor of the soybean flour is blurred, so it is best not to pour it all at once, but to adjust the amount as you eat.
This product requires refrigeration and has a shelf life of about two days. It is better to take it home as a souvenir or eat it right away.
