Seijo Ishii's brown sugar kinako croissant

Seijo Ishii "Brown Sugar and Kinako Croissant

One day in October, I found "brown sugar kinako croissants" sold as a new product at Seijo Ishii, with six pieces per pack, priced at 399 yen (tax not included). I was curious about the combination, which I do not see very often, so I decided to try them.

The croissant was rather small. The entire surface is evenly covered with kinako (soybean flour).

Plenty of soybean flour!

The kinako (soybean flour) part on the surface has a moist and mild texture. The savory kinako flavor and the rich sweetness of the brown sugar can be felt. Perhaps the brown sugar honey is spread on the croissant before the kinako is sprinkled on the surface, so the kinako is moist and not nearly as powdery as one might expect from the appearance.

You can also taste the brown sugar flavor.

The croissant inside, on the other hand, has a crisp texture. The more you bite into it, the more the rich buttery flavor spreads and deepens the taste. The synergistic effect of the kinako (soybean flour) and the extremely savory taste will make you addicted to it!

It is suitable not only for breakfast, but also for a snack because of its mini size. If you like soybean flour and brown sugar, give it a try.
