In this series of articles introducing "secret masterpieces" hidden in the shadows of well-known specialties, the 14th article is "Kuri Nuki Jelly" from Kyobashi Sembikiya.

Kyobashi Sembikiya is a fruit specialty store (including restaurants) with a total of 26 stores in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Shizuoka. They sell high-end fresh fruits such as "Tokusen Melon" and sweets such as cakes made from them.

The "Kuri Nuki Jelly" introduced here is made by hollowing out the entire fruit and using freshly squeezed fruit juice. The jelly is made by pouring the juice into a fruit bowl. It is a popular product, with more than 5,000 units sold per month at the store.

After landing on the tongue, it quickly dissolves, spreading a refreshing aroma and a deep sweetness. The slight bitterness and juiciness from the squeezed juice leads to an aftertaste as if you were eating a real orange.

Two or three slices of pulp can be seen at the bottom. It is crisp and fresh, and adds an accent to the texture.
