Sweets brand "HUGO & VICTOR" from Paris, France. It is a noteworthy store that receives hot eyes from famous brands in the world. The concept shop opened in Omotesando Hills (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on April 22nd.

The store also has a cafe. Of course, there are many menus that can only be eaten here, such as cafe-only menus, Japanese predecessor products, and Omotesando Hills-only menus! I tried it first at the preview.

What is HUGO & VICTOR?

HUGO & VICTOR is a brand launched in 2010 by Mr. Hugue Puget, who has experience as a chef pastry chef in "Ladurée". A hot shop that is flooded with collaboration requests from famous brands such as Dior and Louis Vuitton. They say that they "carefully select the ingredients until they are satisfied," such as purchasing fresh ingredients and seasonal fruits directly from the farm.

Chocolat that shines like a planet is synonymous, but financiers and cakes are also popular in Paris. Among them, "Tart Pample Mousse" using grapefruit seems to be very popular.

In Japan, in addition to exhibiting at Salon du Chocolat, the Isetan Shinjuku store, which will be the first store in Japan, opened in October 2015. Cakes, baked goods, chocolates, etc. are on sale.

And at the Omotesando Hills store, there will be many limited-edition products not found in Shinjuku. The main limited products are macaroons (pre-sale in Japan), cake "Gato Sakura" (limited to Omotesando Hills), and BIO tablets (pre-sale in Japan). I tasted mainly these!

Macaron released in advance in Japan

There are 9 types of macaroons. It will be released prior to the home country. Colorful and cute! I would like to say that the color is so calm that even the clerk cannot see it from a distance. It seems that it is made without using artificial coloring.


Ichioshi is "Pumple Mousse". Grapefruit macaroons inspired by the popular cake "Tart Pample Mousse". The skin is thin and crispy, and there is plenty of cream inside. The perfect balance between sweetness and slight acidity.

The lineup is chocolate, vanilla, cafe, phrase, pumple mousse, lemon, cherry, praline, framboise (it's hard to understand because it's not written in the showcase ...). 345 yen each (tax included, same below). There are 3 pieces (1,188 yen), 6 pieces (2,073 yen), 10 pieces (3,564 yen), and 20 pieces (7,020 yen), and you can combine your favorite flavors.

Cafe hot chocolate

At the cafe, you can enjoy sweets sold in the store such as cakes and drinks such as coffee. Attention will be chocolate drinks! Bitter "Chocolat Noir" and sweet "Chocolat Ore" are available, hot and iced (1,080 yen each).


When I drank Noir, it was fragrant and had a nice bitter bitterness. It's also rich, but it doesn't leave a sweet aftertaste. In other words, it's delicious! This is a dish that chocolate lovers should try at least once.

In addition, the cafe also sells parfaits and soft serve ice cream as a limited menu. There is also fresh juice, and when you squeeze the fruit in front of you to make it, you can get a glimpse of Mr. Yug's commitment.

Tasting Omotesando limited specialty!

From the cake, I tasted "Gato Sakura" (972 yen) using cherry blossoms, which is limited to spring.


Underneath it, which is finished in a pale pink color, is a layer of cherry puree mousse, cherry compote, and crispy almond mousse. The mousse that wraps around it uses white bean and green beans.


A puree accent that brings out the acidity in the rich cherry blossom scent and gentle sweetness. It was a cake that you can feel the cherry blossoms both in appearance and taste.
