What is Starbucks Evenings?

Starbucks Evenings is a program that started in the United States in 2010. It started in the UK in 2015, and currently has about 250 stores. Japan was selected as the third country in the world and the first country in Asia. The concept is to propose a "new third place" for business people who want to stop by and relax on their way home from work.

In addition to regular coffee, alcohol and limited-edition food are available here. The signature menus are "wine + tartlet" and "wine like Frappuccino" .

There are a total of 6 types of wine, including red (850 yen), white (850 yen), and sparkling (900 yen), which are limited to 3 types that change in 1 to 2 months. In addition, there are 5 types of stick-shaped and easy-to-eat "tartlets" (380 yen each). Recommended pairings are set for each, but different combinations are possible.


The tartlet lineup is as follows.

・ Camembert & Belize (set price from 1,200 yen)
Camembert cheese is filled with blueberries, cranberries and almonds, and the edges are coated with chocolate. It goes well with the fruity flavor of red wine (Merlot). It is also interesting that the impression changes depending on the part with chocolate and the part without chocolate.

・ Black Cocoa Couverture (set price starts from 1,200 yen)
This is also with red wine. Underneath it, which is blackened with black cocoa powder, is a very pavé chocolate cake. However, it tastes salty when eaten. It seems that cheese is mixed on purpose.

・ Cream cheese & orange (set price from 1,200 yen)
Cream cheese with lemon, orange and almond slices to match the citrus-flavored white wine (Chardonnay). It is the most refreshing of the 5 types.

・ Strawberry white chocolate (set price starts from 1,200 yen)
A tartlet with an impressive pink powder. Inside is a raw white chocolate cake with cheese. The powder is sour than I expected! Combined with chocolate, it has just the right amount of sweetness. Finish with white wine.

・ Gouda cheese & tropicals (set price from 1,200 yen)
This is for sparkling (Cava)! Rich Gouda cheese with pineapple, mango and almond slices. The cheese is not too strong and has a perfect balance.

Although the tartlet is a "sweet", it is not too sweet and can be eaten as a light snack. Best of all, it goes well with wine! The calories are also low at 130-140 kcal per bottle.
