"SHUGAR MARKET ", where you can drink and compare about 100 kinds of plum wine and fruit wine from all over the country for an unlimited time, is now available in Shibuya, Tokyo. It will open on February 18th.

The all-you-can-drink "KURAND SAKE MARKET " (the first store opened in March 2015), which is run by the same place, is a great success every day, probably because there are a lot of rare sake. The sugar market that opens this time is the plum wine & fruit wine version.

We learned about rare plum wine from the staff of the restaurant and the eating editorial department who infiltrated the media preview. Among them, we will introduce "alcohol that you absolutely want to drink"!

■ It's in the middle of Shibuya

The store is located on the 3rd floor of "Katsuya", which you can see on your right after turning left at the corner of Lotteria in Dogenzaka, Shibuya.

As with the Cland Sake Market, you should bring your own food. It can be a supermarket side dish, you can buy it at a nearby restaurant, or of course you can make it by hand. You can go buy it on the way or ask for delivery. There is no carry-on fee.

The fee is 3,000 yen (excluding tax) for unlimited hours. Water, soda, and ice to break the liquor are available at the store (but it is recommended to drink straight). Alcohol is not good, but you can bring in soft drinks.

■ "Cold pressed fruit" liquor that can only be drunk here

Have you ever heard the word "cold press"? It is a manufacturing method that presses vegetables and fruits tightly. "Cold pressed juice," which is made into juice using only the water contained in the ingredients, became a hot topic last year.

At the sugar market, you can enjoy a sake called "SHUGAR", which is a blend of pure rice sake from the brewery "Kitaoka Main Store" in Nara Prefecture and fruit juice squeezed by the cold press method. It is a completely original sake that can only be drunk at the same store.

For example, "SHUGAR Kiwi liquor". The seeds of tsubutsubu are also sunk in the liquor that has the color of the kiwi fruit itself. When I drank it, I was surprised at the taste like that manma kiwi juice. It was so rich that it could be called a sauce.

In addition, there are figs, peaches, 20th century pears, strawberries, and bellows (citrus fruits from Wakayama prefecture). By the way, the "PROTOTYPE" lined up nearby is the "prototype" of sake that is about to become SHUGAR. It is said that it will be improved in the future in response to customer feedback that "it is better to have more acidity".

■ Who is "Togarashi Umeshu"?

There are many types of plum wine. There is a wide variety of lineups of orthodox umeshu (although it's strange to say that ...) and unusual umeshu. Among them, the one I was interested in was "Togarashi Umeshu". It has a mysterious taste that leaves the spiciness of red pepper after the sweetness of plum wine.

I used to drink "wine with Japanese pepper", but the sweet sake and condiments are surprisingly compatible.

■ Try "Mix" even if it is not

Because there are so many fruit wines and plum wines, I definitely want you to try "Mix". For example, yogurt liqueur goes great with SHUGAR and fruit wine, which are full of fruit! It is also an ant to blend fruit wines with each other.

■ There is also sweet sake

Several types of sake are also available in the corner of the refrigerator. All of them are sweet and easy to drink. Pink nigori liquor is interesting, isn't it? The color is gorgeous, so it's delicious even if you put it on ice cream! Vanilla ice cream is provided free of charge.

■ How about a huge parfait together?

From the opening to February 29th, in collaboration with Saga Prefecture, "Saga Prefecture's proud sweet specialties" will be offered free of charge. "Maruboro", "Koshiro sheep", "Black Mont Blanc", Daifuku, fruits ... In total, 7 kinds of sweets, 3 kinds of raw fruits, 5 kinds of dried fruits and jams, and various "sweets" You can enjoy it with sake.

Furthermore, on February 18th and 19th, a "giant parfait" for about 50 people will also appear! In Saga Prefecture, there are several shops that have dozens of types of parfaits, and many people love parfaits, such as eating parfaits at a coffee shop that is open late at night. This huge parfait is said to have been specially made by the popular shop "Coffee Ufufu". Heaps of fruits from Saga prefecture and heaps of famous confectionery. I love sweets!

Not only people who love sweet sake, but also people who are not good at sweet sake should try it. There are various types of sake, such as those with a very refreshing aftertaste and those that are smooth and easy to drink, so you may be able to meet a sake that goes well with you. However, don't drink too much because it's easy to drink! Drink plenty of water and be careful not to get too drunk.
